Microsoft Clarity is the only one of 11 session replay tools whose free hosted plan still records every session at 50,000 a month
We read the pricing pages of 11 session replay tools on 25 October 2026 and worked out the cheapest printed plan that records every session at 1,000 to 100,000 sessions a month.
Summary
Of 11 session replay tools whose pricing pages we read on 25 October 2026, Microsoft Clarity is the only one whose free hosted plan still records every session at 50,000 sessions a month. The other free plans that record whole sessions stop between 50 a month (Sentry) and 30,000 (FullStory), and Lucky Orange and LogRocket have none. At 50,000 sessions the cheapest printed plan costs $172.50 on PostHog, $199 on Lucky Orange billed annually and EUR 319 on Mouseflow billed annually. Hotjar's Free and Growth plans record a sample of 5% (max. 10,000) and 15% (min. 20,000) of sessions. Strandline Research and UserProof, which charges $29 a month up to 50,000 recorded visits, have the same owner.

Source: each vendor's own pricing page, read on 25 October 2026. Volumes on the axis are not evenly spaced. Mouseflow (priced in euros) and LogRocket (printed price at 25,000 sessions only) are in the table below and in cost-at-volume.csv.
The question
What does it cost to record every visit to a site that gets a given number of sessions a month? We answered it from each vendor's own pricing page and nothing else: for each volume from 1,000 to 100,000 sessions a month, the cheapest printed plan whose stated allowance covers that many sessions, at its listed monthly price.
The cheapest plan at each volume
Monthly price of the cheapest printed plan that records every session. Vendors are listed alphabetically. A dash means the page prints no price that covers that volume.
| Vendor | 1,000 | 5,000 | 10,000 | 25,000 | 50,000 | 100,000 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Amplitude | $0 | $0 | $0 | - | - | - |
| FullStory | $0 | $0 | $0 | $0 | - | - |
| LogRocket (billed annually) | $176 | $176 | $176 | $176 | - | - |
| Lucky Orange (billed annually) | $32 | $72 | $72 | $199 | $199 | $839 |
| Microsoft Clarity | $0 | $0 | $0 | $0 | $0 | $0 |
| Mouseflow (EUR, billed annually) | 25 | 25 | 109 | 109 | 319 | 319 |
| PostHog | $0 | $0 | $25 | $85 | $172.50 | $272.50 |
Annual billing is cheaper where a page shows both. Lucky Orange's Expand plan, the cheapest at 25,000 and 50,000 sessions, is $199 a month billed annually and $249 billed monthly. Mouseflow's Essential, Advanced and Premium plans are 25, 109 and 319 billed annually and 39, 149 and 399 billed monthly. Its page prints these numbers with no currency symbol, and its product markup lists them in euros. Lucky Orange's Expand plan starts at 50,000 sessions and the page offers more through a selector we did not read, so its $839 figure at 100,000 is the next printed plan, Scale, which includes 300,000. LogRocket's page prints $176 for 25,000 sessions and labels it a starting price; its calculator prices smaller volumes, which we did not read, so the figures at 1,000 to 10,000 may be lower.
Free plans run out between 50 and 30,000 sessions
Of the 7 tools with a printed volume price, 4 are free at 5,000 sessions a month and 3 at 10,000. Past their allowances, PostHog switches to usage pricing, while Amplitude's next plan with more replays (Growth) and FullStory's paid plans are custom quotes. Sentry's Developer plan includes 50 replays a month, and its page says new accounts get 5,000 a month for their first 3 months. Microsoft Clarity states no traffic limit.

Hotjar's Growth plan starts at $39 a month for 7,000 monthly sessions, with $49 shown struck through. Its prices above that are set by a slider the page draws in the browser. A buyer comparing Free or Growth to the tools in the table is comparing a sample with a full recording.
Where UserProof fits
UserProof has the same owner as Strandline Research, so it is listed here and not in the table above. Its pricing page lists a Free plan for 3 sites and 5,000 recorded visits a month with 7 days of recordings, Pro at $29 a month for 50,000 recorded visits with 90 days, and Scale at $99 a month for 250,000 with 90 days. On the same method that is $0 at 1,000 and 5,000 sessions, $29 from 10,000 to 50,000, and $99 at 100,000. It works through a coding agent (Claude Code, Codex or Cursor) rather than a replay dashboard, and it does not offer heatmaps or surveys. Its rows are in cost-at-volume.csv, marked as the same owner.
Method
Sample. The 11 session replay tools tracked by the UserProof pricing ledger, a daily read of public pricing pages: Amplitude, FullStory, Harvv, Hotjar (Contentsquare), LogRocket, Lucky Orange, Microsoft Clarity, Mouseflow, OpenReplay, PostHog and Sentry. UserProof is read from its own pricing code and listed separately.
Reading. Each vendor's pricing page, read on 25 October 2026 with plain HTTP requests that respect robots.txt (PostHog's tier table from the markdown copy of its pricing page). 24 plan rows were checked against the exact words and numbers on each page, and all 24 matched. Prices that a page draws only in the browser, such as LogRocket's and Sentry's calculators, were not read. The pages are linked in plans.csv.
Definitions. A session is one visit recorded from start to finish. PostHog bills recordings and Amplitude and Sentry bill replays; we count one recording or replay as one session. For each volume we take the cheapest plan whose stated allowance covers it, at the plan's printed monthly price. PostHog's figure is its free allowance plus its published per-recording tiers for the recordings above it.
Exclusions. Plans that record a sample of sessions (Hotjar Free and Growth), custom prices (Hotjar Pro and Enterprise, FullStory's paid plans, Amplitude Growth), prices for running your own servers or an hourly managed server (OpenReplay), plans billed by events instead of sessions (Harvv), and volumes priced only in a browser calculator (LogRocket above 25,000 sessions, Sentry above 50 replays) are left out of the table and listed in coverage.csv. Taxes, add-ons and seat charges are not included.
Limits. Prices change, and these are the pages as they read on one day. Allowances are what vendors say a plan includes; we did not test how each counts a session.
